About this site
My name is Mark Taylor and I created this site to serve two purposes. The first purpose is to give engineering firms a method of obtaining information about myself from anywhere, quickly and easily. I have created a link to a recruiter's page, in which I have attached my resume with a little information about myself.
The second purpose of this site allows me to interact with other members of the AVR microcontroller community along with those interested in FPGA development.
For AVR and FPGA enthusiasts
I have spent a great deal of time designing and producing my own AVR modules for use in various projects. They all implemented the ATMega32 series microcontroller and used different power supply schemes for versatility.
I now work for Digilent Inc. where they produce many different AVR modules of their own. The primary purpose of these modules is for use in universities around the world, but I have found that they are great for hobbies too!
Digilent also has a line of FPGA boards based on various Xilinx chips. These boards are great for use in learning how to develop digital design techniques through schematic capture or VHDL.
Since I have started working for Digilent, I have stopped designing my own boards. It has been far too costly for me to produce my own boards when I can buy a much better board from Digilent for much less money.
